Spring Season is Here. 

HSP & Senior Tryouts are February 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th. See schedule below for times!!!!!

You can register any time by clicking on the link to the right or at the fields the day of the tryout.

All players MUST make one of the tryout dates according to their “league age”. Players who will be playing in the T-ball and Coach Pitch Divisions do not attend any tryouts except for any 7 year olds wishing to try out for Farm and all 8 year olds must try out no matter what division they are requesting.  ALL OTHER players must attend one of the tryout days UNLESS they are RETURNING Major or H.S. Prep Division players.

Players who do not attend tryouts will not be drafted to a team until ALL players who tried out are selected. Those who do not try out are drawn from a hat at the end of the draft. 10 to 12 year olds who DO NOT tryout are NOT eligible for the Major division draft.  Any special circumstances should be discussed with the player agent or Registration person prior to or during the tryouts.

Field Work Parties

SVBL has field work party days where everyone is needed to come out and help with the fields to make them ready for Opening Day and season play. Field and facility preparation are VERY important to our league and the help of everyone is highly needed. This is a great opportunity for the players to show their support for the league and lend a helping hand.  Parents, too, are role models for the children and being out there helping this non-profit organization really does make a statement for the children when they see their parents, team mates, friends, and others lending a helping hand. This area of volunteering is so important to the beauty and playability of the fields.

There is a refundable $25 maintenance fee per family due when registering your player(s). Board Members only are waived from this deposit. After you have volunteered your 2 hours at the fields during one of our spring season scheduled field work parties, the fee will be refunded within a few weeks after completion of your duty. Your team parent and the league’s website will keep you informed as we near the work parties. Thank you for taking 2 hours or more of your busy schedule to help make “your fields” the VERY BEST in Simi Valley. We take pride in them!!!

     - 2012 Spring Season Field Work Days are:   January 14 & February 11, 18 & 25 from 8 - 12 am

Opening Day

Opening Day ceremonies will be held on Saturday, March 3^rd at our complex. There will be many activities including baseball games during the afternoon. Members of each team, their sponsors, as well as your Board of Directors and many dignitaries will be introduced. There will also be several special guests. ALL players are to be dressed in full uniform. This is an early morning event. Plan to keep this day open on your calendar.

League Picture Day

The Basic League Package of individual pictures of your player is included in the registration fee. Additional photos and/or products can be purchased at your expense.  Pictures will be distributed by your team parent as soon as they become available.  Picture day is March 31, 2012.

SVBL believes in a  healthy balance of FUN-da-MENTAL instruction and competitive play in all our Divisions from ages 4-18 years of age.  Our Cal Ripken Divisions feature T-Ball (ages 4-6), Coach Pitch (ages 6-7), Farm (ages 7-9), Minors (ages 9-12), Major (ages 10-12), and our Babe Ruth Divisions consist of the Seniors (ages 13-15), High School Prep (ages 13-15) and the Pro Division (ages 16-18).
